Q: How much electricity can a solar power system produce?
A: SOLENERGI can install systems producing anywhere from 5,000 to 130,000 kWh per year (worth anywhere from $500 – $15,000 per year).
Q: How much does a solar power system cost?
A: SOLENERGI installs systems that can cost anywhere from $5,000 to $100,000, however, we work with our customers to design a system that matches their energy needs, as well as their budget.
Q: How can SOLENERGI help make solar power more affordable for my home or business?
A: SOLENERGI works with customers to help them take advantage of tax credits and other incentives that help offset the costs of going solar. We also provide solar lease and power purchase agreement contracts that can last up to 30 years.
Q: How long will my Solar Panels last?
A: Solar panels currently being manufactured typically last about 25 years, and most of them have a warranty for the same period. We only use high quality panels to ensure efficiency and longevity.
Q: How do I maintain my solar power system over the years?
A: SOLENERGI strives to select modules that are low maintenance, but can provide support should any problems arise. This can include things like microinverter replacement as well as web-based system monitoring.
Q: How is the system designed?
A: SOLENERGI will work with you during a site assessment to analyze at least 12 consecutive months’ worth of electricity bills, determine tilt angles, shading around the property, and weather patterns in order to determine the appropriate size, design, and output of the system.
Q: What happens on cloudy days or when snow or leaves fall on the module?
A: With a grid-tied system, you won’t have to worry about not making enough electricity during off-peak hours or storing excess electricity during bright summer days. Instead, excess energy will be sold back to the power company and you can still purchase electricity when the panels don’t produce enough. This averages the output throughout the entire year.
Q: I live in the city and have a flat roof, can I still get solar panels?
A: Yes, SOLENERGI installs on a multitude of different roof styles. In fact, flat roofs are one of the most common designs we encounter. We can design parapet-to-parapet systems that ensure proper tilt angle and allow rain, snow, and leaves to pass underneath.
Q: Will I need a building permit in order to get a solar power system installed on my home or business?
A: Yes. You will need to obtain building permits to install a solar photovoltaic system. Depending on your jurisdiction, building, electrical, and plumbing codes may also apply. That said, SOLENERGI will take care of the necessary paperwork and ensure that your system complies with all regulations before performing the install.
